How about releasing the plugins for the masses ?
Any luck of testing the final plugin/script ?

Sorry, I have no plans on just releasing the plug-ins. My goal was to show people the process of creating the deformer, not to sell the deformer as an actual product.

well , could you put your learning on your website ?
let CG artist,,td see .
Do you work on something about collision and controlling volume of shape ?

Hi Chad,

I am a C4d user currently learning Houdini. What language are you developing the jiggle deformer in for this tutorial – is it mostly python (Apologies in advance for my ignorance, I am not a Maya user and beginning my journey into programming) ? Would it be possible to apply these concepts to python in Houdini? Is there a general universality to the programming and mathematics featured in this training?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Chad, sorry to bother you again.
I purchased this video series at and learning now. It’s a little hard for me but I’m getting by in order to create my own plugin.
Currently, I’m trying to compile this for Maya2015 and I add a following line to cvJiggleDeformer.h.

Then compiler tells no errors (except only a few C4244) and the deformer is surely applied to mesh, but no jiggle effect happens. There is something lacking… what should I do to complete this project?

Sorry for such a low level question, thank you.

I’m very sorry, I mistook. The correction is as follows.
#include <maya/MArrayDataBuilder.h>

Ah yes, in Maya 2016, Autodesk shuffled some of the headers around.

Hi Chad.
My company purchased the Jiggle deformer cg_circuit tutorial. Very helpful material, thanks. I have a question regarding the ability to use this deformer in its current state or in modified form for commercial use. We would like to add a few additional features to the plugin, but we are not sure if we are legally allowed to further develop it and use it for our use commercially. Can you advise please? Do you have a commercial license equivalent for this plugin?
Kind regards
