I tried to this too, but the technical part my brain is underdevelopped… Was it a lot to code? please release it! it would make life so much easier!

Where exactly does the QWidget go in your code, and how does it interact with Maya’s functions, like MItGeometry or MDagPath? I tried this also as a custom locator but so far QWidget only supports “cout <<" and nothing else…

The viewport is a QWidget. You can install a mouse move event filter on it to track mouse movement.

Is it available? I can’t find it, and it is really helpful. Having to use brushes instead of clicking save a lot of time.
